The Simultaneous Reading Facility which was introduced in April  1995 invites customers to be present when their water measuring devices are being read by the Commission’s personnel.  The arrangement requires that

 

►        The customer indicates in writing his/her willingness to    participate in this exercise.

 

►        The customer or his/her representative to be present at all  readings of the water measuring devices by the Systems   Operators. This person will be expected to co-sign the water  supply forms indicating agreement with  the readings taken..

 

►        Absence of  the customer/representative will be interpreted by     NIC as             willingness on the customer's part to accept the  Systems  Operators' measurement.

 

►        These readings are conducted twice daily between the hours of   8:00 a.m .- 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m. each day of the   week (for the open canal system) and the last of the month for    the pressurized system.

 

            The customer's participation and cooperation are encouraged    to ensure agreement on the readings in order to eliminate billing dispute.
